The GE.N.ESIS Project results are made public

The survey results present a geographically synthesised imagery of the prehistoric settlement ruins, the ancient harbour and its submerged breakwater, wrecks and cannons of the site, as well as seabed and sub-seabed features/artefacts of potential archaeological interest.

Numerous sidescan sonar features of potential interest were recorded and sidescan mosaics of the ancient harbour, breakwater and the prehistoric settlement were created. Magnetic anomalies of the site were mapped, through which potential targets were validated or detected. Seismic profiles of sub-seabed features and the settlement were created and antiquities of major archaeological interest were precisely positioned. All data was synthesised on a GIS.

The project results can be accessed under the 'Publications' page.
